I am so excited to present Maggi Flynn of Just Add Glitter and Stir as our first Guest Designer for the Paris Hilton Creativity Collection! Maggi has been crafting and scrapbooking for over ten years and designs for Gauche Alchemy. She has a flair for all things vintage, and her style is sparkly and fun. Maggi has a THING for BLING! So I sent her some Paris Hilton rhinestone sheets to get creative with. I couldn't resist making a layout of "The Princess of Bling" herself after seeing these pictures of her with just one of many sparKly projects she made with the bling in the collection! You can see Maggi's sparKly designs all this week on the Paris Creativity Facebook page!!!
Gauche Alchemy is having aMixed Media Mamaschallenge about what mothers mean to you! Yes, I know...I never do challenges! This is definitely a first! And it wasn't an easy one for me. I was only 3 years old in this photo with my mom. It was Christmas - a happy time. What made this challenge difficult for me is that my mom isn't in my life anymore. Here, I captured a memory from the past. But behind it, there is a message. I have to look forward and learn from past experiences, hard as some were, and use them to help me grow and be the best mom I can. My children mean the world to me- they need my love, and they will always have it no matter what. Not every day will be Christmas, but being there for them through it all - good and bad -
My 49ER FAITHFUL friend Siobhan (who is also a fabulous card maker) of Adventures from the Monkey Hutsent me this adorable picture of her daughter Keira all dolled up! I used the Shopping Fever scrapbooking kit from the Paris Hilton Creativity Collection to create this layout of her. I love using cardboard as a background, especially after I paint it pink and glitter it! It was perfect for sassy Keira! I just added some pink ribbon and a few flowers and pearls. Keira, you are a DOLL!
And here is a darling layout my sweet BFF Zoe of DreamComeTrue made for me of my kiddos! It's all digi, and I love it! It's something I can't do at all, so I appreciate it very VERY much!!!! Thank you so much Zoe!! Hope everyone is having a beautiful weekend!
~*special thanks to Keira for her pretty photo and to Zoe for her magic!*~
For National Scrapbooking Day, my former KOTC design team friend, the talented Emeline Seet, had a Nikki Sivils giveaway on her blog. By some miracle, out of 52 people - my number came up on the random generator!!!! I received my package today which included the cutest line: "My Sweet Cherry Pie." Nikki is so generous, she included clear stamps, patterned papers, a chipboard album, burlap buttons, sticker sheets, covered brads and the cutest mini tags. You can tell I love a kit if I make something right away! Thank you so much Emeline, and thank you Nikki!!
Two summers ago we vacationed in Kennebunkport, Maine and it was so beautiful! It was the first time Ava saw the ocean, and she was like a fish! Both kids loved it! Being from San Francisco, I always took the ocean for granted. I'd do anything to live by the coast again.
I used the Paris Hilton Jet Set Life scrapbooking theme kit for this layout, adding Thickers, pink tulle, trims, pink pearl accents and stick pins for dimension. The kits are loaded with accents and tons of bling- so girls of ALL ages can create sparKly pages of their vacations!!
Aren't these luggage stickers cute? All the scrapbooking theme kits have been reduced in price to $14.99! You can see the whole collection at:
My beautiful and talented friend from Australia, Leanne Love (an appropriate name for this lovely lady) of The Life of Love told me she was sending me something she had made at a Mad Tea Party!I thought that was really sweet of her and of course I was super excited to get her package! What I didn't expect was this gorgeous Alice in Wonderland wood and canvas album that Leanne created!!!
This must have taken forever to make. I really can't find the right words to express my gratitude. I can't believe Leanne would even part with this creation!Leanne, you have such a big heart and I am so appreciative. I honestly don't know what I did to deserve this, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Alice is so special to me....this album will be treasured.
If you don't know Leanne, please stop by her blog The Life of Loveand see her amazing work!! And Leanne, I loVe you girl!! Thank you for this beautiful piece of you!
I can't tell you what a pleasure it has been using your photos for my designs with the Paris Hilton line. I appreciate all of you so much as I am trying to show that this line is not only trendy and fun, but versatile as well. It can be used for all ages, even babies! The above layout features my dear friend Maggi's adorable little one, Audrey- better known to blogging friends as "Toot!" Audrey is a famous starlet now after appearing on America's Funniest Home Videos! I used the Shopping Fever and Born for Luxury kits to make her sparkly layout- and yes, it is never to young for glamour!
Then there is adorable Sookie, my friendJessy'ssweet fur-baby! I created this card using a rhinestone sheet and stickers from the Pet's Beauty Shop kit. So fast and easy, girls will have a blast making their own custom creations! I'm happy to say Amazon.com is now carrying some of the Paris Hilton Creativity Collection. Also you can purchase some of the collection at Costo/Canada online. We're very excited and hope that more and more girls of all ages will check out this line and get creative!!!!!
So for a totally unrelated scrapbooking post, as I am getting BURNT OUT BEYOND BELIEF, we have an upcoming wedding to attend and I can't remember the last time I wore a pair of heels (non wedges!) I ordered this Anthropologie dress and these Nine West shoes online - what do you guys think? Do the shoes go with the dress when they're black and the dress is charcoal?? - Be honest!
I've been in "mommy mode" for some time as far as fashion goes. And I've never owned an Anthropologie dress, but this looked pretty cute. Praying I can walk in the 4 1/2 inch heels!

My name is Deb Famularo. I am a stay at home mom with two wonderful kids and a husband who supports my need to create! When I first started scrapbooking, I was bored with the small variety of embellishments out there. So I began gluing rhinestones and buttons on my pages, eventually leading to my small business of handmade creations called 'Button Kisses' which I sold on ebay and to a few scrapbooking stores. After that, I went on to sell premade scrapbook pages on ebay. Two years ago, I was honored to be one of ten semi-finalists in a national scrapbooking contest held by the Home Shopping Network. I recently was published in Memory Makers magazine. I spent a year as a design team member for Laura McCollough and A Kiss on the Chic. And currently, a wonderful company, Wooky Entertainment, has given me an opportunity to design with Paris Hilton's The Creativity Collection line which I am passionate about as it is geared towards young girls, encouraging them to be creative. I'm amazed at the wonderful people I continue to meet in this incredible world of creating!
