I went to crawl in bed, and look who I found all snuggled up! It's Paris the bichon frise!
I've had Paris almost 4 years now - so this Paris came WAY before I was designing for Paris!!!!! Ironic, I know!!! Speaking of the other Paris, teens can be on the lookout for February's issue of to see how to create this BFF wall hanging using The Creativity Collection!

Ava's hanging heart wasn't the only one I made using the House of Three heart shadow box kit. Kyle's was next, and I was determined that his was not going to be 'frou frou' in any way! Total challenge for me! So I painted his heart black and for the first time EVER (I know, I am sad!) I distressed it with sandpaper! lol Okay, better late than never right! I need to use sandpaper more often, I love doing that!

House of Three has these cute hanging heart shadow box kits for $7.50!

I made one for Ava for Valentine's Day using pink paper fringe, pink rose fabric trim, some black tulle and pearl beaded garland.

Also, I am very honored to be featured on ScrapScene today with my thoughts on what's HoT for 2010!! Can you guess what I think is trendy for this year?

Have a great day everyone!

sweet Georgia Belle!!!!!

~*Up,Up and AwAy*~ SAUTONS!!

Wouldn't you like to fly!!!
I'm sure everyone has seen this fun Webster's Pages paper from the Tres Magique collection! I love it! How fitting for this photo of Kyle and Ava! How the photographer captured my kids mid air is beyond me! My journaling reads:
"Un frere at sa soeur sautent!"
(Or in English, a brother and his sister jumping!)
Merci beaucoup mon amie Anita! She graciously helped me with the conjugation since my French is a little rusty. Check out her beautiful blog

~* sWeEt KyLe *~ going green & a toothpick challenge!

I've been unpacking my stuff from storage BACK into the house all weekend. I have gotten used to my house being somewhat empty, and I have to say, I think I prefer it like this. So only about 1/3 of my stuff is coming back in, and the rest- donated. Going through box after box and breaking them down to recycle, my son grabbed a sheet of cardboard and said I should use it to scrapbook with. Smart kid! So I made the cardboard into a wall hanging of him! I used this cute vintage ephemera kit I bought on etsy here at Lucky Girl Goods. Cari has some really cute items! I was able to put this together pretty fast thanks to the kit. I dry brushed the cardboard first with Robin's Egg Blue paint, then added the ephemera. And Scrap Outside the Box is having a challenge, use a toothpick on your layout! Check them out! So fun!!

~*KaItLyN & aVa*~ the Pink Ninjas kit

Well, I used up the last bit of my Pink Ninjas "three little birds" kit
for this layout of Ava and her cute little bud Kaitlyn! I went a little crazy with some Glimmer Mist, so my layout is slightly wrinkly! (At least now I know how NOT to use Glimmer Mist! Thank goodness for editing!) I have found a new love for using fabric on my layouts thanks to those cute Ninja girls! This is my first attempt at making a fabric rose! I have to say, it's a little easier than I thought it would be!
And this is completely 'no sew'- I used a glue gun! If I can do it, so can you!! Practice makes perfect, so don't examine it too closely!!! ;)

Here's one more layout of my Ava baby from the darling "three little birds" kit by The Pink Ninjas! Let's see, 4 projects in 4 days with the same kit, I don't have to tell you what I think again!
Hey Melanie, did you buy it yet?

~*CuTe As A bUg!*~ the Pink Ninjas kit

This is my second layout using the "Three Little Birds" kit from
The Pink Ninjas. This is a completely different look from the first layout I did, which is another reason why I love this kit so much. I have never used material on a layout before either. I really like it! And I love these Sassafras felt bugs too, sooo cute! Elsie Flannigan, Love Elsie, was a guest designer for them this month and she made some beautiful things. I'm totally hooked, as if ya couldn't tell!

~* tHe PiNk NiNjAs*~

Very recently I discovered these cute & talented girls called the Pink Ninjas and their kits! I couldn't resist and I bought their "three little birds" kit. I'm so happy I did! I can't tell you how many kits I have still sitting in their ziploc bags in my huge tupperware bin unopened. I call it my scrapbooking graveyard! Pretty dead stuff lurking in there, and I have no desire to jump in and revive them. Oh, if my hubby is reading this, "Don't worry honey, I'll use every bit of those kits! Love you!"
Not this baby! It arrived yesterday and I was off to the races!!!!!! What beautiful pieces in this kit! I am all for something cute and unique- and this kit has both including little treasures like tiny painted mushrooms, cute wood accents, sparKly trims, pretty material pieces, and a HUGE handsewn flower! (This particular lace & trim wasn't in there, but there are other pretty laces & sequin trim in this kit that are gorgeous!) I love these kits and the girls who rock them. I want to be a Pink Ninja!!!!!!!! ;)

~*sTaYiN' pUt *~

Well, after 3 months of trying to sell our house,
we decided it must not have been God's plan for us to move or our home would have sold by now. So we're stayin' put for the time being.
I'm a little sad, a lot relieved.
I wish I could transport my house back to San Francisco, but since that isn't gonna happen, I have to make the best of it here. There is a chance we can get to Orlando in the near future. I am praying for that!

So all day yesterday, I was here in my 'Happy Room' unpacking most of my things and putting them away. It took hours and there is still more in the dreaded storage unit! But YaY, most of my STUFF is back!!!!!!
I can finally stop focusing on the house cleaning and start focusing on being creative again! yippeeeeeeee!

I love basketball.
Sadly, my son didn't inherit that same love for the sport! Last season he was able to play for an awesome coach and she pushed Ky hard! He didn't like that and wanted to bail numerous times. But quitting wasn't an option. So he endured the hard practices, learned the basic fundamentals, and got out there and gave it his all. I won't make him play again, but at least I saw him score his first basket and as a 'craZy' mom in the stands, I can tell you not only me, but everyone around me, will remember that moment!
At least he loves playing basketball on the Wii, does that count!?

~* HeY ATC girls!*~

Well many of you are talented in making ATC cards,
something foreign to me. I admire them, as long as someone ELSE makes them! Sherry from Got Art has sent me some beautiful ATC cards. And recently I found Carrie's art treasures over at Pinkadoo! Well, Carrie was sweet enough to send me supplies so that I could create my own ATC card. I told her I'd make one if she promised not to laugh! So here it is. Thank you Carrie! I couldn't and wouldn't have done it without you!!!

" I wonder if I've been changed in the night. Let me think.
Was I the same when I got up this morning?
I almost think I can remember feeling a little different.
But if I'm not the same, the next question is,
'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle!" ~ alice

~* That's Italian!!! *~

So after 2 months of having packed up most of my studio while our home is on the market, I decided I need to do some MAJOR shopping because I need to create NOW and I'm not scavenging through 50 boxes in the storage unit to get to all my stuff! One of my shopping stops was Scarlet Lime, and this kit motivated me instantly! I created this layout for my husband last night! These Italian girls were photographed on Christmas Eve in the early 80's! Starting at the left is my mother-in-law Geraldine, her twin sister Ann, and their older sister Chris doing what they do!
When I saw the green buttons, red letterman alpha Thickers and red checkboard ribbon in this kit, I knew this photo would be perfect!
The rose patterned paper is awesome! Anything with roses I love!
The only extras I added were some paint, a couple of red rosettes and the bling! (gee, really!!!!) There you have it.
Now That's Italian!

~* That's My Boy! *~

What I do for one child, I must do for the other!
(Or all hell breaks loose!)
So here is my boy!!!
My journaling reads "Like Mother, Like Son!"
And that is SO true. Hubby is a Patriots fan.
The picture speaks for itself
where my boy's heart lies!
Sorry John!
Glitz rub-ons and bling here, and yes, you can add sparKle to a boy's page.....why not!!!

Eye Damage Warning:
Step away from the computer screen unless you have on some shades!
Brenna is our beautiful babysitter. I love this picture of her cuz she is rockin' out! I've been playing around with the Paris Hilton rhinestone sheets and still like using them on layouts. I threw one on this layout for some extra texture and a HUGE sparKle factor! You don't need many embellishments with these! This patterned paper is from the Paris Hilton Creativity Collection Flowers and Lights paper pad. It's easy to achieve a scalloped effect on your layout, just grab a circle punch and punch away evenly around the edges!

I'm having lots of fun adding GLAM to my lipsticks and lip glosses with Paris Hilton's rhinestone sheets. Look how pretty they look on my vanity! Yes, that is Paris Hilton's Siren perfume you see in the background! And Yes it is yummy! My son gave it to me for Christmas.

These rhinestone sheets are so versatile and fun.
Of course I love them in scrapbooking,
but having a sparKly lipstick,
now that's hot!

Lip glosses can look glam too.
The possibilities are endless with these!

Girls of all ages will love these sheets!

~* on a roll...*~

Two projects in 24 hours! This is a biggie for me!
I literally just have scraps to work with. My vintage earrings which are my absolute FAVORITE items to use on my projects are all in storage.
But I found this one lonely earring in a drawer, so it's on here! I got this idea from Prima. They had featured shadow boxes recently. I modified the idea using a crate! I painted it with Heidi Swapp "Betty" pink paint and threw in some Prima flowers and Teresa Collins dangling bling.
Very quick and easy! And right in the middle of creating this, I had a call for a showing. On New Year's Day!?! I was in my sweats really thinking this was a free day to relax for once, yea right! I was running around here with just one hour to get this house sparkling clean. I'm ready for a padded room, I'm not kidding! Anyways, Ava now has something to hang in her room. (But it will have to wait for the new house or my real estate agent will kill me!)

~* Paris Hilton's self-esteem blog in *~

We all know how important self esteem is. Especially in this day and age.
If you have a teen/tween daughter, click on the logo above to have them check out Paris Hilton's blog in the teen section of the January issue of Paris gives some great ideas on how to create layouts with the theme "I Love Me!"
It's not about arrogance, it's about confidence!
Big difference.
You may recognize some of the layouts shown!
Thanks to all my girls for sharing their positive attributes and goals!xOxO

hAPPY 2010!!!
Last night I finished this custom layout for an
auction that a friend of mine had a few months back.
It helped my friend out, and honestly, I was honored
someone actually even bid on a
custom creation from me!!
Thank God they were patient
and could wait for me to get this done finally.
I used to sell premade layouts like this
all the time on ebay.
This brought back memories,
creating a page with no actual photos!
Kinda tricky! I love the little vintage Santa on here!
Isn't he cute!
Think it has enough bling, should I add any more??
