Yes, this is actually CARDBOARD! Laura did a whole Rock Star album with it, and Prima had cardboard layouts at CHA! I think it's pretty cool looking... the cardboard that is! Painting is out of my comfort zone! The Marie Antoinette piece comes in this February's A Kiss on the Chic kit, and so does the Prima transparency which I tried (emphasizing the word TRIED here) to paint on!

I don't have many old photos of myself or my family, but here is one I treasure. I bought a kit from Jenni Bowlin, and her paper matched the dress my grandmother is wearing in this photo.

I used pearl accents to match my great grandmother's pearl necklace and ribbon roses to match my mother's dress. Other embellishments including Heidi Swapp clocks, Prima crystals, lace, Anna Griffin florals, Prima florals, a stick pin and somevintage accents helped set the theme for this precious vintage photo. I have to give credit to my fellow HSN semi finalist girl Toni for inspiring me to go "crazy" with lots of flowers! Check out her beautiful work at:

My Diva Baby Ava!

This adorable vintage inspired patterned paper &

diva bling is from The Paper Studio. I had fun adding tons of embellies

including felt heart stickers from K & Company, vintage inspired images,

a pretty crochet flower from etsy, white millinery flowers, a stick pin,

a valentine's pick, 3-D pearl stickers and some rhinestones for sparKle.

HSN is having a Today's Special by 3 Birds. When I was a semi finalist in HSN's 'Make it Memorable' scrapbooking contest last year, my prize was a HUGE basket filled with 3 Birds! It's a very fun & colorful line, and today's TS is pretty cute! I ordered it this morning cuz I love the ~*BLING*~ and I ended up speaking to Shivan on the air! YIKES, my heartrate is still up from that! Thanks for saving me mid sentence Shivan when my mind went totally blank!!!!! ugh ..............xOxO

A dear friend in our scrapbooking community is facing the hardest challenge any parent can. Her precious 5 year old daughter, Ellie, has a brain tumor, and we just learned that it is progressing into the right side of her brain. There are no further treatment options available because of the location of the tumor. I want to ask all of you to please keep this beautiful child of God in your prayers.

And please pray for strength for her parents Niki & Pat and the rest of their family. Your prayers are so greatly appreciated.

and the older you get, the faster it goes! My grandpa told me that years ago and boy, was he right. This layout was made for a current Bad Girls challenge contest.

We had to use owls or birds, flowers, a frame of any kind, glitter

and at least 3 different patterned papers. Of course, I added tons more! And I threw in

a vintage piece too, fitting for this old photograph of me!

Okay, you can see my blog url is armenian-princess.blogspot.com (mainly because someone had taken sparkling scrapbooks already!) But I always use the name armenian-princess in my scrapbooking forums. And there is a good reason for that.

I'm proud of my heritage as we all should be! So I finally created a layout about

my Armenian pride. I used the Armenian flag as my background. I tell a little about what the colors represent for the Armenian people. I also used vintage lace as many Armenians handcrafted these treasures. I am proud of being an American too, as this country is where my great grandparents chose to make their new home. And the freedom

that we are so fortunate to have here, I will never take for granted.

But Armenia will always hold close to my heart. It's in my soul. So I encourage you to scrapbook your heritage! What better way to pass along our heartfelt thoughts to our next generations so they can see how proud we are of who we are.
