~*KOTC DT work, Kits On Sale Tonight!*~

I was given the Home kit this month to work with, which I loved! Here is a layout featuring my handmade line of punch art "Button Kisses" that I sold on ebay and to scrapbooking stores 7 years ago! It's fun to see how my style has changed over the years! So this is a "then and now" layout, my style now showcasing my old style then!!!

The Home Kit!

The Home kit is filled with My Little Shoebox, and this line has the most fun and colorful papers and embellishments. On this layout of our home, I added just a few extras including pearl centers, pink foil trim, a rhinestone heart, german glass glitter, paper clips and vintage earrings.

A Home is Where the Heart Is! I painted this album filled with pictures of my home to match the colors of the MLS papers in the Home kit and just accented my edges with some rhinestones and pearls for sparKle.

The inside of the album is embellished at the bottom right of each page with handcut houses from the MLS paper, stickles, ribbon trim and rhinestone centers.

I usually don't "do" cards, it's out of my comfort zone! But with this kit, I couldn't resist!

The GARDEN kit!

Kits go on sale TONIGHT at 7 pm EST at A Kiss on the Chic
There are TONS of add-ons, including beautiful 3 ring albums by American Crafts!

And to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day, Laura is giving away a bonus gift with every purchase if you order thru midnight Sunday!!!

"Let them eat cake!"

Marie Antoinette is my new addiction these days.
I'm reading a book about her and got inspired to create something today.
This was made with accents including a Prima flower from the May Kiss on the Chic Home kit that I didn't use! I also used a vintage french book page, some sequin flower trim, 'crystal' flowers, Maya Road flowers, Prima bling and a vintage earring, of course!
The patterned paper is the backside of pretty glittered Prima paper!
(Better buy another sheet of that soon!)
I found the Marie digital image on etsy along with this pretty hand stamped ribbon and cameo. What would I do without etsy, I swear! One thing for sure, I'd have a bigger savings account!

~* Oui, C'est Marie! *~

I love Marie Antoinette, and now I have a brand new blog banner and some fancy business cards thanks to the very talented Heather of vintagebella!
Check out her beautiful items on etsy!

After some shopping at a few vintage stores in Mckinney today where I bought tons of pretty German glass glitter and this crown that I HAD to have, I was more than inspired to alter something the moment I came home.

And this little girl from long ago was my victim! What little girl isn't a princess, right? Hell, what BIG girl isn't a princess for that matter! I've got the bills to prove that one! .........xOxO

Ava's favorite princess has always been Alice. We adore Alice in our home! For Ava's 5th birthday, we turned our home into Wonderland. We sang the Un- Birthday song, had a beautiful Queen of Hearts cake, even Alice herself made an appearance. This shadowbox is a little reminder of that magical day!

"Curiouser and curiouser!"

"Off with her head!" ......xOxO

I definitely have had a challenging (to say the least) past 10 days~!
Since my appendectomy on the 2nd, I've had 2 trips to the ER because of a horrible allergic reaction to the steri strips on all 3 of the incisions! And the whole time while on the antibiotics, I've been in nausea hell. I have never had anything like this before, and I've had quite a few surgeries. So weird. Hopefully, I can finally start to feel human again soon. I can't even stomach coffee, if you knew me, you'd know something is definitely WRONG! On the other hand, think of all the money I'll save not going to Starbucks! I know one person is happy about that- LOVE YOU HONEY! :)
I appreciate all of your sweet comments and good wishes SO MUCH this past week! Thank you!

Have a wonderful Easter Sunday! xOxO

~* appendixes - WTH!*~

So Wednesday I have an appendix, and Thursday I don't! I just got back from the hospital today minus a part! But I'm doing fine and wondering why we even have this piece of anatomy to begin with!!!!!

I did however come home to an exciting e-mail from Memory Makers! Let's just say I can FINALLY use this picture to replace a layout in my online forums. My layout will be published in the July/August issue! That is a dream come true for me! Thank you Memory Makers!

Oh, BTW, if anyone ever has pain in their right lower quadrant, don't mess around. Get to the ER! xOxO
